Powering the next generation of digital healthcare companies
Today, digital healthcare companies spend more time building internal tools than building the products and services they promised their patients. This is the problem Bumi solves: They provide the comprehensive solution that digital healthcare companies need to run their business. In 2022, I joined the journey with the co-founders to conceptualize, design and validate the company's product from the ground up.

Challenge
The challenge was to design a digital healthcare product that could support standard medical and telehealth workflows while providing flexibility for customization for every business request. This required a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, user needs, and the ability to create a solution that could meet the demands of both healthcare providers and patients.

User Experience
Abstract to define a purpose, scale quickly, and move with confidence
We started by meticulously defining every product feature of the MVP, documenting its purpose, logic, error states, and intricate details. This layer of abstraction helped us eliminate unnecessary noise and prioritize the essential aspects of the product. Once we agreed on the functionality of each feature, we confidently moved forward with design proposals. This thorough process ensured that we covered all corner cases to create an intuitive and efficient user experience.
What I did:
Features documentation with the CEO
Mind Mapping of every feature
User Flows
Wireframing
I provided initial sketches of each module to accelerate discussions and establish a shared vision. Once the direction was approved, we created wireframes to visualize the entire feature. As we progressed with the screens, we interviewed potential customers to validate our design assumptions and collect valuable information. These conversations helped us prioritize module functionalities and inform our design decisions from a user standpoint.

Visual Design
For the visual language, I relied on tailor-made components and a systematic approach to accelerate iterations and take care of consistency across every screen. The result was a sleek and modern interface that aligned with Bumi's brand personality and communicated professionalism and trustworthiness. The color palette was inspired by medical devices and technology, and the typography was carefully selected to ensure legibility and accessibility. The overall design language was aimed at delivering a powerful and efficient tool for healthcare providers.

Results
At the end of the project, we successfully delivered a solid minimum viable product (MVP) that was ready to be tested by members of our partnership program and advisors. This allowed us to validate the product's core value proposition. Through iterations and feedback, we analyzed reactions from potential customers and collected ideas to increase benefits for the next generation of healthcare companies.
The feedback we received from these conversations was extremely valuable in helping us shape the product's future direction. We used this information to prioritize the most requested features and to make necessary improvements to the user experience.
